NSÍ Runavík Nes Sóknar Ítróttarfelag, widely known as NSÍ Runavík, boasts one of the most striking geographical settings in European football. Established on 10 January 1957 in Runavík on the island of Eysturoy, the yellow-and-black outfit plays its home matches at Við Løkin, a picturesque venue situated right at the edge of the fjord at the foot of steep hills.
In domestic competitions, the club etched its name into Faroese football history by winning its sole top-flight league championship in 2007. Their honours list also includes three Faroese Cup triumphs, achieved in 1986, 2002, and 2017, alongside two Supercup victories in 2008 and 2021, establishing the side as a mainstay among the island nation's elite.
On the European stage, NSÍ Runavík produced a milestone performance during the 2020/2021 UEFA Europa League qualification phase. Under manager Glenn Ståhl, they thrashed Welsh side Barry Town United 5:1 in the first qualifying round, setting a record for the largest winning margin by a Faroese club in European competitions. Legendary striker Klæmint Olsen, the club's all-time top scorer and national team regular, starred in that memorable victory.
