The UEFA Access List is a document that determines how many clubs from each country can participate in European competitions and at which stage they enter the tournament.

The access list is based on the UEFA association coefficient ranking, which measures the performances of clubs from each country over the previous five seasons in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Conference League. The higher a country's position in the ranking, the more European places it receives and the later its clubs enter the competition.

For example, the champion of a highly ranked association may qualify directly for the league phase of the UEFA Champions League, while the champion of a lower-ranked association may need to progress through several qualifying rounds.

UEFA updates the Access List regularly to reflect changes in competition formats and the latest association rankings. As a result, a country's position in the UEFA ranking has a direct impact on the opportunities available to its clubs in European competitions.
