Kilmarnock FC are one of the oldest clubs in Scottish football and an important part of the footballing history of Ayrshire. Founded in 1869, the club enjoyed its greatest league achievement in 1965, when Kilmarnock won the Scottish championship. They have also lifted the Scottish Cup three times and represented Scotland in European competitions on several occasions.
