Atlètic Club d'Escaldes Atlètic Club d'Escaldes, founded in 2002, shares the town of Escaldes-Engordany — and a local rivalry — with another club bearing an almost identical name, Inter Club d'Escaldes. After earning promotion to Primera Divisió in 2004 and being relegated just three years later, the club spent twelve seasons in the second tier before finally returning to the top flight in 2019.
That comeback sparked rapid progress: in 2022 the club won its first trophy, the Copa Constitució, and a year later, in the 2022/23 season, sensationally claimed its only Andorran league title to date. That achievement paved the way for a genuinely historic moment — a UEFA Champions League qualifying debut in 2023, where the club faced Montenegro's Budućnost Podgorica in a mini-tournament format staged in Iceland, losing 0–3.
In 2025 Atlètic finally got the better of their eternal local rivals, beating Inter Club d'Escaldes 5–3 in the Andorran Super Cup final — their first trophy in that competition after two previous runner-up finishes. The team plays its home matches at Estadi Comunal in Andorra la Vella.
