Inter Club d'Escaldes, founded in 1991 and one of the founding members of Andorra's Primera Divisió in 1995, has followed a clear arc — relegated from the top flight in 2015, it returned just two years later, then went on to dominate Andorran football, winning five league titles, four of them since the 2020/21 season.
Since debuting in European competition that same 2020/21 season, the club has become a regular in Champions League, Europa League and Conference League qualifying, mostly facing fellow micro-state sides — in 2022/23 it eliminated San Marino's La Fiorita in the Champions League preliminary round, and a year earlier beat the Faroe Islands' HB Tórshavn.
The team, known as the Blue-and-Blacks (its crest carried the initials of main sponsor, construction firm Construccions Modernes, until 2019), plays its home matches at the Estadi Comunal in Andorra la Vella.
