FC Flora Tallinn is the most successful club in the history of Estonian football, founded on 10 March 1990, shortly before Estonia restored its independence. The club was among the founding members of the Meistriliiga in 1992 and, alongside JK Narva Trans, remains one of only two teams never relegated from the Estonian top division since the league's inception.

The Green-Whites (Rohevalged) have won 37 domestic trophies in total, making them the undisputed leader of Estonian club football. Their haul includes a record 16 Meistriliiga titles, nine Estonian Cups, and a record 12 Estonian Supercups. The 2022 season proved especially significant, with Flora claiming their 14th league title on 97 points, matching the league record for points in a season previously set by FC Levadia in 2009.

The club has consistently prioritised the development of homegrown talent, becoming one of the principal suppliers of players to the Estonian national team, including forward Rauno Sappinen. Pelle Pohlak has served as club president for many years, having helped build Flora's success from its earliest seasons.

A historic breakthrough in European competition came in the 2021–22 season. Flora became the first — and to date the only — Estonian club to reach the group stage of a UEFA club competition, drawn into a Conference League group alongside Belgium's Gent, Serbia's Partizan, and Cyprus's Anorthosis. In an away match against Anorthosis, two goals from Rauno Sappinen earned Flora the first point ever collected by an Estonian club at this stage of European competition, coming back from 0–2 down to draw 2–2. An even bigger landmark followed on the final matchday, when a goal from Martin Miller secured a 1–0 home win over Partizan in Tallinn — the first-ever group-stage victory by an Estonian club in a UEFA competition.

Flora play their home matches at Lilleküla Stadium in Tallinn, a venue with a capacity of over 14,000, also known commercially as the A. Le Coq Arena.
