SK Dnipro-1, founded in 2015 and taking over the infrastructure and academy of the historic FC Dnipro (without any formal legal succession), reached the highest point of its short history in 2023 โ Ukrainian Premier League runner-up. Amid the Russian invasion, the club played part of its 2022/23 Conference League campaign outside the country, hosting matches at a stadium in Koลกice, Slovakia, and training nearby in Malรก Ida.
A year later the team made history for less flattering reasons โ becoming the first Ukrainian club eliminated from all three European club competitions (the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League) within a single month. The 2023/24 season was further complicated by a FIFA-imposed transfer ban.
Mounting financial problems ultimately proved insurmountable โ on 22 July 2024 the club declared bankruptcy and was withdrawn from the Premier League, ending its short but eventful existence. The team had played its home matches at Dnipro-Arena, one of Ukraine's largest stadiums.
