LNZ Cherkasy is a Ukrainian football club whose name derives from the Lebedyn Seed Plant (Лебединський насіннєвий завод), part of the LNZ Group agricultural holding, on whose leadership's initiative the club was founded on 23 April 2006. For its first seven years it operated under the name Shpola-LNZ-Lebedyn, representing the small settlement of Lebedyn and playing exclusively in Cherkasy regional competitions. The club gained professional status in 2017 and, in 2021, formally and physically relocated to Cherkasy, becoming the city's leading football club. The team's colours are purple and white, and it plays its home matches at the Cherkasy Arena, which holds more than 10,000 spectators.

LNZ began competing at professional level in the 2021–22 season, playing in Ukraine's Second League and finishing third, although the season was interrupted following the start of the Russian invasion in February 2022. The following season the club competed in the First League, finished third in the championship group, and then beat Inhulets Petrove in the promotion play-off to secure historic qualification for the Ukrainian Premier League.

The club's top-flight debut came in the 2023–24 season, which ended in 7th place — the best result in its history up to that point. The 2024–25 season saw the club settle into mid-table, finishing 12th. The breakthrough, however, came in the 2025–26 season, widely regarded as the most significant in the club's history, when LNZ finished as Ukrainian runners-up, securing historic qualification for European competition. In the 2026–27 season, the Cherkasy side entered the UEFA Conference League for the first time, drawing Belgium's Gent in the second qualifying round.
