Based in the parish of Santa Coloma, UE Santa Coloma (Unió Esportiva Santa Coloma) was founded on September 23, 1986. The team traditionaly wears yellow and black kits, developing its football identity alongside its cross-town rivals. The club hosts its home fixtures at the Estadi Comunal d'Andorra la Vella, a venue shared among the top-flight clubs of the Andorran league system.
For much of the 2010s, UE Santa Coloma established itself as a constant contender in domestic competitions, frequently finishing near the top of the standings and claiming secondary silverware. The club captured the Andorran Cup (Copa Constitució) three times in 2010, 2013, and 2016. Despite these domestic cup triumphs and several runner-up finishes, the top-flight league title eluded the team for decades.
The defining moment in the club's history arrived during the 2023–24 season. Under the management of Spanish coach Ramon Maria Calderé, UE Santa Coloma completed a historic domestic double by securing its first-ever Primera Divisió title alongside another Copa Constitució victory, marking the most successful campaign in the club's existence.
This domestic championship granted the team entry into the 2024–25 UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds. In the first qualifying round against Armenian champions FC Noah, the Andorran side lost the first leg 1–2 at home. However, in the return leg in Yerevan, UE Santa Coloma achieved a historic 2–1 away victory thanks to goals from Youssef El Ghazoui and Franco de Jesús, forcing the tie into extra time and a penalty shootout. Although FC Noah ultimately advanced on penalties, the victory in Yerevan stands as one of the most significant European performances in Andorran club football history.
