FC Viktoria Plzeň, who were originally scheduled to face Norwegian side Tromsø IL, have been replaced by FC Hradec Králové. The change follows UEFA's decision to exclude MFK Karviná from European competitions.
As a result of this decision, the Czech Football Association had to adjust its European qualification allocation. Viktoria Plzeň, being the highest-ranked eligible club, were moved directly to the Europa League play-off round (the fourth qualifying round), allowing them to skip the second-round tie against Tromsø IL.
The vacant place in the tie against Tromsø IL has therefore been taken by FC Hradec Králové, who were originally due to compete in the Conference League qualifiers. For the club, this means a promotion to the Europa League qualifiers and a significant change to their preparations ahead of the upcoming two-legged tie.
