1.FC Slovácko is a Czech football club from the Moravian town of Uherské Hradiště, whose roots go back to 1927, when SK Staré Město was founded in the nearby settlement of Staré Město. Football in Uherské Hradiště itself, however, has an even longer tradition — as early as 1894, the club AC Slovácká Slavia was established there, which briefly reached the Czech top flight for one season in the mid-1990s, before merging in 2000 with its local rival to form 1.FC Synot, the direct predecessor of today's club.

Following the merger, the team competed several times in European competition, taking part in the UEFA Intertoto Cup on three occasions, and in 2004 it formally adopted its current name, 1.FC Slovácko, referencing the wider Slovácko region in which Uherské Hradiště lies. The club's first major success came in the 2004–05 season, when the team reached the Czech Cup final, eliminating Slovan Liberec along the way in a dramatic penalty shootout, only to lose the decisive match to Baník Ostrava 1–2.

The truly historic moment in the club's history came seventeen years later — in the 2021–22 season, Slovácko won the Czech Cup for the first time in its history, defeating defending champions Sparta Prague 3–1 in the final, played at its own Municipal Stadium, thanks to goals from Vukadin Vukadinović, Milan Petržela and Lukáš Juliš. This triumph earned the team a place in the group stage of the UEFA Europa Conference League in the 2022–23 season, in which Slovácko recorded its first-ever away win in European competition, defeating France's OGC Nice 2–1 on their own turf.

The team, nicknamed Nachylové and playing in distinctive blue and white, plays its home matches at the Miroslav Valenta Municipal Football Stadium in Uherské Hradiště, which holds over 8,000 spectators. Although the club has never won the Czech championship, its history stands as an example of the gradual, consistent building of a regional club's position among the country's leading teams.
