Partizan Belgrade FK Partizan, founded in 1945 in Belgrade as the club of the Yugoslav People's Army, is one of the most important brands in the history of football in the Balkans. The Black-and-Whites are multiple champions of Yugoslavia and Serbia, with their greatest achievement remaining the historic European Cup final in 1966. On the way to Brussels, Partizan eliminated sides such as Manchester United, and in the final itself led Real Madrid until the 70th minute before ultimately losing 1-2. It was the first time that a club from Eastern Europe and the Balkans had played in the final of the continent's premier club competition, a feat that permanently inscribed Partizan in the annals of European football.
Partizan play their home matches at Partizan Stadium, for decades known as JNA Stadium (after the Yugoslav People's Army).
