FK Čukarički FK Čukarički is a Serbian football club from Belgrade, founded on 4 July 1926 during a meeting at the Majdan restaurant in the working-class Čukarica neighbourhood, situated on the right bank of the Sava river. It was at this meeting that the club received its official name — ČSK, Čukarički Sport Klub — and its colours, black and white, were established, a tradition that continues to this day. The club's first president was Miloš Ilić, recognised as Serbia's first combat pilot and, at the time, a reservist of the Royal Yugoslav Air Force.
The club's first players were amateurs who prepared the pitch themselves and made their own jerseys and goal nets. Čukarički began competing in the third tier of the Belgrade league system, but as early as the 1931–32 season won the championship of the capital's second division. For most of the Yugoslav era, the club competed in the lower divisions, recording its first notable achievements only in the 1971–72 season, when it was promoted to the Yugoslav Second League. A historic moment came in the 1993–94 season, when the team achieved promotion to the top flight of newly formed Serbia and Montenegro for the first time in its history.
The club, nicknamed Brđani (The Highlanders) and Belo-crni (The White-Blacks), a reference to its stadium's location on Banovo Brdo hill, first played in European competition in the 1996 UEFA Intertoto Cup. A defining moment, however, came in the 2014–15 season, when Čukarički, managed by coach Vladan Milojević, won its only major domestic trophy to date — the Serbian Cup — thereby earning entry into UEFA Europa League qualifying.
Since then, the club has been a regular participant in continental competitions, and in the 2023–24 season it achieved its best-ever European result, reaching the group stage of the UEFA Europa Conference League. The team plays its home matches at the modest Čukarički Stadium, opened in 1969 and thoroughly renovated between 2012 and 2013, and the club has long been recognised for its consistent focus on developing young players through its own academy.
