ACF FiorentinaACF Fiorentina, founded in 1926 in Florence, is a club that has permanently inscribed itself in history as the first Italian side to reach the European Cup final — on 30 May 1957, at the Santiago Bernabéu, having eliminated Yugoslav side Crvena zvezda among others along the way, only to lose 0-2 to Real Madrid. Four years later, on 27 May 1961, Fiorentina turned the tables, beating Scotland's Rangers 4-1 on aggregate to become the first Italian winner of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup — still the only European trophy in the club's cabinet.
