SP Tre Fiori SP Tre Fiori of Fiorentino is one of the most successful clubs in the history of San Marino football. Its origins date back to 1949, when a sports organisation was established in Castello di Fiorentino, initially focusing, among other activities, on cycling. The football section eventually became the most important part of the club, while the name Tre Fiori refers to the symbolism of Fiorentino. The team's traditional colours are yellow and blue, also reflected in the club crest.
Tre Fiori won the San Marino championship for the first time in 1988, but the 1990s were particularly successful. The club collected further league titles during that decade and later returned to the top of the domestic game. In 2009, Tre Fiori won its fifth championship, ending a 14-year wait for another title. The championship final against Juvenes/Dogana finished goalless after 120 minutes, with Tre Fiori winning the penalty shoot-out 3–1.
The following two seasons produced an even more impressive run. In 2010 and 2011, Tre Fiori won the championship again, completing a sequence of three consecutive titles. In the 2010/11 final, the club defeated Tre Penne 1–0 through a goal from Alessandro Giunta. The team was coached by Floriano Sperindio, who had also guided Tre Fiori to the title in 2009. After the 2011 triumph, the club had seven San Marino championships to its name.
The eighth title was awarded to Tre Fiori for the 2019/20 season, which was not completed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The ninth championship arrived in 2025/26. Tre Fiori finished top of the competition and returned to the summit of Sammarinese football after several years without the league title. According to the club, it was the ninth championship in its history.
The club's honours also include eight Coppa Titano triumphs, the latest coming in 2022. In that year's final, Tre Fiori defeated Folgore 2–1. The club has also won other domestic competitions, including the Trofeo Federale and Supercoppa. In 2026, Tre Fiori reached another Coppa Titano final against La Fiorita. The match ended in a 3–1 defeat, despite Tre Fiori taking the lead first.
The most distinctive part of Tre Fiori's modern history, however, has been its European record. The club represented San Marino in UEFA qualifying rounds for many years, but a breakthrough came in 2018. In the preliminary round of the UEFA Europa League, Tre Fiori eliminated Welsh side Bala Town. After winning the first leg 3–0 and losing the return match 1–0, the Sammarinese club advanced 3–1 on aggregate. It was the first time a club from San Marino had won a UEFA European tie.
Another historic moment followed in 2022. In the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League, Tre Fiori faced Luxembourg's Fola Esch. The Sammarinese side won the first leg away from home 1–0 and then prevailed 3–1 at home. The 4–1 aggregate victory took Tre Fiori into the second qualifying round for the first time. The away win in Luxembourg was also the first European away victory by a Sammarinese club.
The club plays its home matches at Campo Sportivo di Fiorentino Federico Crescentini in Fiorentino, a ground with a capacity of around 700 spectators. The stadium is named after Federico Crescentini and is also used by other teams from Fiorentino.
The history of SP Tre Fiori reflects the distinctive character of football in San Marino: a club rooted in a small community has remained among the country's leading sides for decades and eventually translated domestic success into notable European achievements. Nine San Marino championships, eight Coppa Titano trophies and the eliminations of Bala Town and Fola Esch place Tre Fiori among the most important clubs in the history of football in the republic.
