IK Sirius Idrottsklubben Sirius is a Swedish football club based in Uppsala, founded on 9 August 1907. The club was named after Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky. The team traditionally plays in blue-and-black vertically striped shirts and is commonly nicknamed 'BlÄsvart' (Blue-Black).
Since 1909, the club's home ground has been Studenternas IP, located near the FyrisÄn river and central Uppsala. In domestic football, IK Sirius's highest historical achievements include finishing as runners-up in the Swedish Championship (Svenska MÀsterskapet) twice, in 1924 and 1928. The club has also reached the semi-finals of the Swedish Cup (Svenska Cupen) on multiple occasions. Prominent players associated with the club include Swedish international Kalle Svensson, midfielder Kim KÀllström (who played youth football at the club), and Ghanaian forward Kingsley Sarfo.
