FK Auda Founded in 1969, FK Auda is a Latvian football club from the town of Ķekava near Riga, playing its home matches at the Skonto Stadium in Riga. The team's history dates back to the era of collective fishing — initially, the side operated under the name 9. maijs. After the political changes of 1991, the club adopted the name FK Auda, referencing the newly established fishing company. For nearly three decades, the club competed mainly in the lower divisions, spending only a brief spell in the top flight between 2002 and 2004.
A turning point in Auda's modern history came after winning the second-tier Nākotnes līga in 2021 and returning to the Latvian top division (Virslīga). In their first season back in 2022, the club achieved a historic success by winning the Latvian Cup, defeating FK RFS 1–0 in the final. They repeated this feat in 2025, securing a second cup trophy in their history. At league level, Auda has cemented its place among Latvia's elite, finishing 3rd in both the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
Consistent strong performances domestically have allowed Auda to make its debut and maintain a regular presence in UEFA competition qualifiers, including the UEFA Europa Conference League. Key figures for the team in recent seasons have included striker Josué Vergara and midfielders Eduards Daškevičs and Wally Fofana. The squad has been managed by coaches such as Simo Valakari, Zoran Zeljković, and Jurģis Kalns. Alongside Riga FC and FK RFS, FK Auda remains one of the main forces in contemporary Latvian football.
