FK Dečić Tuzi is one of the most distinctive and rapidly developing football clubs in Montenegro, serving as a proud sporting and cultural symbol for the Albanian minority in the country. The club was established in 1926 in the town of Tuzi, located near the Albanian border. The name of the club derives from the nearby Dečić hill. The team traditionally plays in blue and white colors, enjoying passionate and dedicated support from the local community.
For the majority of its history, the club competed in the lower regional divisions of former Yugoslavia and Montenegro. A turning point arrived in 2006 following Montenegro's declaration of independence. FK Dečić Tuzi became one of the founding members of the newly formed Montenegrin First League (Prva Crnogorska Fudbalska Liga). Over the following decade, the club frequently moved between the top flight and the second division, steadily building its reputation for resilience and determination.
The most successful era in the club's history began in the early 2020s. After earning promotion back to the top division in 2020, the team established itself among the nation's elite. They reached the Montenegrin Cup final twice, in 2021 and 2022, before reaching their absolute peak in the 2023/2024 season by winning the Montenegrin First League title for the first time in their history. In total, the club holds 1 national league championship.
On the international stage, FK Dečić Tuzi made its European debut in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers during the 2021/2022 season against Kosovan side KF Drita. Following their domestic league triumph, they made their historic first appearance in the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds in the 2024/2025 season against Welsh champions The New Saints FC. The club plays its home fixtures at Stadion Tuško Polje, which has undergone substantial modernization to meet top-tier standards.
Throughout its existence, the club has featured key regional talents, with players like Pjetër Lulgjuraj, Driton Camaj, and Ilir Camaj leaving a lasting mark on its history. Today, FK Dečić Tuzi stands as a dominant force in Montenegrin football, committed to representing its community at the highest level.
