Djurgårdens IF Djurgårdens IF are one of the most decorated football clubs in Sweden, based in the capital city of Stockholm. Founded in 1891, the club has won twelve Swedish championships, including eight Allsvenskan titles (1955, 1959, 1964, 1966, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2019), and five Swedish Cups (1990, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2018). Djurgården have spent 69 seasons in the top division, placing them among the historical elite of the Swedish league table.
A particularly successful period came between 2002 and 2005, when the team claimed three league titles and three cup triumphs, establishing themselves as one of the most dominant sides in modern Swedish football. After thirteen years without a trophy, Djurgården returned to the top in 2018 by defeating Malmö FF 3–0 in the Swedish Cup final on home ground, before winning the Allsvenskan title the following year.
The club is recognisable by its distinctive blue and dark blue colours and one of the most devoted supporter bases in the country. Home matches are played at a multi-purpose stadium in southern Stockholm, opened in 2013 with a football capacity of around 30,000, shared with city rivals Hammarby IF. In European competition, Djurgården regularly appear in Europa League and Conference League qualifying rounds.
