Association coefficient (UEFA)

2028/29

The UEFA country ranking, also known as the UEFA country coefficient, is a classification of European football leagues created by UEFA. The ranking is based on the performances of clubs from each country in European competitions — the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League.

Each club earns coefficient points for wins, draws, and progressing to later stages of the tournaments. The points of all clubs from one country are then combined and divided by the number of teams representing that league in European competitions. This value is called the country coefficient.

The UEFA country coefficient determines how many places each league receives in European tournaments and from which qualifying rounds their clubs will enter the competitions in future seasons.
