FC Shkupi KF Shkupi is a football club from the Čair district of Skopje, formed in 2012 through the merger of two clubs, FK Sloga Jugomagnat and the lower-tier FC Albarsa. Although the Football Federation of Macedonia does not formally recognise Shkupi as the direct legal successor of Sloga Jugomagnat and keeps their records separately, the club's management and its supporters, organised into the group Shvercerat (The Smugglers) — the same group that had previously backed Sloga — regard 1927 as the club's official founding year, thereby continuing the footballing tradition of a district home mainly to Albanian, Turkish and Roma communities.
The history of Sloga Jugomagnat forms part of a wider process of political emancipation for the Albanian minority in North Macedonia. In May 1999, the club, built around a core of ethnic Albanian players, won the Macedonian championship — the first time since the country's independence that the title had gone to a club with an ethnic Albanian core. That squad featured, among others, striker Argjend Beqiri, one of the few ethnic Albanians to have been capped for the Macedonian national team at the time, as well as defender Zekirija Ramadani.
Following its re-establishment in 2012, the club began competing in the third tier of the league, but within just three seasons it earned two promotions, reaching the Macedonian First League. The club's first historic success came in the 2017–18 season, when Shkupi, finishing fourth in the table, qualified for UEFA Europa League qualifying for the first time in its modern history. The truly defining moment, however, came in the 2021–22 season, when the team, managed by coach Goce Sedloski, won its first modern-era North Macedonian championship, securing the title with four matches still remaining in the campaign. This success earned the club its debut in both UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League qualifying.
The team, nicknamed Pëllumbat (The Pigeons), plays its home matches at the Čair Stadium in its home district, and its traditional rival in the so-called ethnic derby remains Macedonian club FK Vardar Skopje. Following years of stable growth, however, the club has been experiencing a serious organisational crisis, sparked by the resignation of its long-serving president and main sponsor, Turkish businessman Olgun Aydın, in November 2024, which has led to a significant decline in sporting results in subsequent seasons.
