Lech Poznań secured an emphatic victory over Grasshoppers Zurich, defeating the Swiss side 6:0. The hosts took control of the match from the very beginning and quickly opened the scoring. In the 4th minute, Rengifo found the back of the net to give Lech an early advantage.

The hosts struck again in the 14th minute. Lewandowski got his name on the scoresheet to make it 2:0. The score remained unchanged until half-time, although Lech created further opportunities to extend their lead.

After the break, the hosts continued to dominate and in the 56th minute, Lewandowski scored his second goal of the match, completing his brace and effectively putting the result beyond doubt. Grasshoppers were unable to respond to the Polish side's attacking pressure.

Lech's superiority became even more evident in the closing stages. In the 76th minute, Vallori put the ball into his own net, increasing the Swiss side's deficit. Eight minutes later, it was already 5:0, with Injać finding the net. Peszko completed the scoring in the 88th minute, sealing a convincing victory for the hosts.

Lech Poznań eventually won 6:0, producing an effective and dominant performance throughout the match. The game was watched by 16,500 spectators. The referee was Thomas Vejlgaard of Denmark.
